Gunnison Valley Health is a 24-bed, short-term, acute-care hospital owned and operated by the County of Gunnison. It is a Critical Access Hospital, with a healthcare team consisting of specialists, surgeons, physician assistants, nursing staff, technicians and technologists all working in conjunction with various local family practice physicians from multiple offices.
Gunnison Valley Health is a Level IV Trauma Center and local physicians staff the ER 24-hours a day, seven days a week. General surgery, orthopedic and OB/GYN consultants are available on an on-call basis. The ER department is supplied with state-of-the-art equipment necessary to meet the demands of any patient with ailments ranging from bronchitis to multi-system trauma. Tri-State CareFlight offers flight for life helicopter service to Gunnison Valley Health.
