Family Health West Helps Patient Get Back to Dancing

It’s not a mirage in Fruita at the FHW Hospital. There really are long-term hospital beds for patients who need a little more time to heal, a little more rehabilitative treatment, and a little more rest before going home. People recovering from a major surgery, a stroke, a traumatic brain injury, a car crash, the list goes on. Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center Now Providing Drop-off Kiosk for Unused & Expired Medication

Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) is excited to announce its adoption of a program to accept unused or expired prescription medications for safe disposal for community use.

This drop-off kiosk is conveniently located in the lobby of the Emergency Department at the main hospital campus at 1000 Rush Drive in Salida. Any patient of the hospital or clinics, community member or members of the public can utilize this kiosk safely and anonymously.

Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center Breaks Ground on Delnay Guest House

Thanks in large part to the considerable charitable donations by the late Picie Hylton and Robert and Bernice Delnay, the Delnay Guest House broke ground on the Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center campus Feb. 27.

The guest house will have 10 fully-furnished units. Four units will be for patients, caregivers or family members that live at least 30 miles away. Six units will be affordable short-term rental units for hospital employees while they seek more permanent housing.
