Rural Healthcare Providers Address Medicare Advantage Issues

Grand Junction, CO, October 30, 2025 – A group of 32 rural hospital and health organizations, as part of the Western Healthcare Alliance (WHA), want their Medicare patients to be better informed when choosing a plan in 2026.

Both patients and health systems have struggled with Medicare Advantage plans that affect patient care and system operations. Issues include long waits for authorizations, denial of medically necessary services, and delays in payments.
