People on the Move at WHA – Lindsay Holman and Vonna Funk Promoted

Western Healthcare Alliance (WHA) is pleased to announce the promotion of Lindsay Holman to Director of Human Resources for WHA and its affiliated companies.

“Over the last 10 years, I have enjoyed the opportunity to grow in the WHA organization as we collaborate to improve rural healthcare,” Lindsay said. “I have been supported in my development as an HR leader and I am excited to use my skills to deliver best in practice standards and solutions for our employees and members as we continue to serve our rural healthcare members.”

In her new role, Lindsay will manage WHA’s HR functions and strategic initiatives, and maintain WHA’s HRIS, benefit programs, engagement initiatives, and legal compliance. Prior to her new promotion, she was WHA’s HR Manager.

Elizabeth Hanckel, WHA’s Chief Human Resource Officer, had this to say about Lindsay’s new position. “Throughout her career at WHA, Lindsay has focused on the wellbeing of our members and staff. Her actions consistently demonstrate our values of service to rural, adapting to change by identifying solutions, respecting the whole team, and creating a safe environment for dialogue. I am grateful for Lindsay’s many contributions and excited that she continues the journey of serving rural healthcare.”

Vonna Funk

WHA is also pleased to announce that Vonna Funk has been promoted to the Administrative Director of Finance for WHA and its affiliated companies. In this role, Vonna will oversee all accounting functions.

Angelina Salazar, Chief Executive Officer of WHA, had these kind words to say about Vonna’s promotion. “Please join me in congratulating Vonna Funk on her promotion to Administrative Director of Finance. Vonna joined WHA in 2012 as the Controller. Over the last 10 years, Vonna has a proven track record of supporting the WHA mission and stepping up to the plate as needed to ensure smooth operations in Finance and all aspects of our organization. Thank you, Vonna, for taking on this new challenge!”

Vonna has been with WHA since 2012. She has over 40-years’ experience in accounting and was previously a tax accountant with H&R Block and the Accounting Manager/Medicare Billing Specialist for Interim Healthcare.

Vonna, a Grand Junction native, enjoys spending time with her family, including five grandchildren, and is a Broncos fan to the core.

“I am honored to be associated with the great team at WHA,” said Vonna. “I look forward to helping strengthen our organization and ultimately our rural communities and owners.”
