Healthcare Management Partners with MHA Ventures to Provide Revenue Cycle Services to Montana Hospitals

Grand Junction, CO, January 5, 2023 – Healthcare Management, LLC is proud to become the endorsed vendor of bad debt collections and self-pay early-out for Montana Hospital Association’s (MHA) members.

Over thirty years ago, 12 healthcare provider members of Western Healthcare Alliance, a small non-profit healthcare network based in Grand Junction, CO took their collaborative efforts to the next level by purchasing A-1 Collection Agency and subsequently forming Healthcare Management, LLC (HCM). Owning their own company allowed HCM owners to ensure their patients received exceptional customer service.

“HCM is a wonderful example of our hospitals and healthcare providers collaborating to improve rural healthcare,” said Angelina Salazar, CEO of HCM. “Our healthcare owners have a seat at the table in determining the best way to collect from their patients. They are vested in the company and profits are returned to them to help keep care local in their communities.”

Over the years, HCM expanded to add AR Services, to provide self-pay early-out, physician payer enrollment credentialing, prior authorizations, and more. HCM is now a multi-million-dollar revenue cycle company owned by 20 healthcare providers, with over 3,400 clients, and over 70 employees.

HCM’s employees are active in the community via the Charitable Giving Committee. Since the committee was formed in early 2020, employees have contributed over $40,000 with a company match of $17,500. These generous donations have provided relief to many in our community who are not only challenged financially, but also reeling from the added stress of COVID-19.

“MHA is proud to partner with HCM to provide patient-friendly revenue cycle services to our members,” said Sean Becker, VP Shared Services, MHA Ventures. “Since they are owned by rural providers, they understand Critical Access and rural hospital communities and their patient demographic. This new partnership is a great fit for MHA and our members.”
