San Luis Valley Health Awarded $48,750 Grant from Colorado Community College System

The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) recently awarded $855,000 in grants to organizations in Colorado through the Workforce Resilience Program Grant to support rural communities in Colorado impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. These grants range from $21,000 to $50,000 over two years and will fund workforce development including certificates to broaden worker skills and bridge gaps within the workforce.

Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center Expands Rehabilitation Program with Hippotherapy Services

Hippotherapy uses rhythmic, multi-plane equine movement which stimulates a human’s neurological system, helping to organize motor movement, regulate sensory systems, and mimics walking through the patient’s pelvis. Benefits of Hippotherapy include building core strength, improving muscle coordination and fine and gross motor skills, as well as increased motivation and participation in treatment.

Delta Health Expands Services with New Orthopedics Clinic

Delta Health is excited to announce an expansion of services with a new Delta Health Orthopedics clinic located at 257 Cottonwood Street in Delta.

The clinic is well known in the community, as it was previously Dr. John Knutson’s Delta Orthopedic practice; it will offer comprehensive, individualized, general orthopedic care. This includes joint replacement, breaks, ligament reconstruction, all extremity surgeries, and steroid injections.
