Vail Health’s Family Birth Center Partners with Mothers’ Milk Bank on New Depot

Vail Health Hospital’s Family Birth Center, in partnership with Mothers’ Milk Bank (MMB), is opening a local milk depot to help increase access to donor human milk by making it easy and convenient for breastfeeding parents to donate their excess milk for families and babies in need. Vail Health will host a community celebration of the new partnership on June 20, 2024, from 3-5 p.m. in the main lobby of Vail Health Hospital. Information regarding the program will be provided and representatives from Mothers’ Milk Bank will be present to answer any questions from the public.

San Luis Valley Health & Children’s Hospital Colorado Form Care Alliance

San Luis Valley Health (SLVH), the region’s largest hospital, and Children’s Hospital Colorado (Children’s Colorado), one of the nation’s top children’s hospitals, announced today they have entered into a Care Alliance, which is a collaboration across our organizations to provide children and their families with the highest level of coordinated medical care as close to home when possible.

Delta Health Announces New Chief Financial Officer

Delta Health is pleased to announce Elizabeth “Lisa” Lee as Delta Health’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on June 3, 2024. Lee is a seasoned finance professional with over 25 years of financial management experience. Originally from the city of Chicago, Lisa graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a BBA in Business Administration, majoring in public accounting. Following her academic journey, she obtained her CPA certification.

St. Mary’s Regional Hospital Hosts Annual Phoenix Awards

Nurses from Multiple WHA Member Organizations Receive 2024 Nightingale Award

Seventy-eight Colorado nurses from across Colorado were honored as Nightingale Luminaries at a live event held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Hilton Denver Inverness.

The Nightingale Luminaries represent the best of more than 110,000 registered nurses in Colorado and are recognized for their leadership, advocacy, and innovation. What the nurses have in common is their commitment to actions and outcomes in caring for their patients, their profession, and their communities.
