As I, Hannah Max, Grant Writer and Medical Assistant at TMC, have often emphasized, this isn’t about pushing an agenda or identity; it’s about not assuming identities of our community members – it’s about knowing who’s here and who isn’t. This understanding is crucial in a town like Telluride, known for its inclusive spirit, yet lacking dedicated queer spaces. By allowing patients to self-identify, we can better serve them, making them feel seen and understood.

Orthopedic Surgeon from Gunnison Valley Health Appointed as Head Team Physician for Team USA at 2024 Summer Olympic Games

Gunnison Valley Health is proud to announce that orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Gloria Beim, has been appointed as the head team physician for Team USA at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, 2024. This prestigious appointment highlights Dr. Beim’s expertise in sports medicine and her commitment to the health and performance of athletes. As head team physician, Dr. Beim will lead a team of medical professionals that will provide medical care, injury prevention and rehabilitation services to ensure that the athletes are in peak condition for competition.

Utah Department of Health & Human Services Honor Moab Regional Hospital & Grand County Emergency Responders

Last month, the Utah Department of Health and Human Services celebrated the remarkable teamwork and dedication of several Grand County emergency agencies in response to an airplane crash on October 1st, 2023. Honorees include Grand County EMS, Moab Valley Fire Department, Moab City Police Department, Grand County Sheriff’s Office, Classic Air Medical, Canyonlands Airport Fire Department, and Moab Regional Hospital.

Mercy Hospital Announces New Chief Executive Officer

We are pleased to announce that Josh Neff will join Mercy Hospital’s 143-year legacy of care by serving as our Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1. Josh brings vast knowledge and expertise to rural health care and understands the importance of keeping medical care close to home. He currently serves as both the CEO of St. Elizabeth Hospital in Fort Morgan and as Vice President of Integration and Rural Health.

Delta Health Announces New Chief Executive Officer

Delta Health is excited to announce that Jonathan Cohee will be stepping into the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) starting July 8, 2024. Cohee has served as Delta Health’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) since November 2023, bringing with him a distinguished 27-year background in the healthcare industry. His strategic vision and operational expertise have already made a significant impact, enhancing service access and operational efficiency.

Delta Health Opening New Urgent Care Clinic and Behavioral Health Center

Delta Health is excited to announce the opening of a new Behavioral Health Center and an Urgent Care Clinic on July 1 located at 70 Stafford Avenue where Delta Health Family Medicine is currently located. Delta Health Family Medicine will be relocating to 296 Stafford Avenue (next to Delta Health Pediatrics) on the Delta Health campus.
