Today, to be an effective leader in this complex and demanding healthcare environment, you must continuously look for ways to keep healthcare local and sustainable. With limited time managing everything on your plate, participating in a regional network like Western Healthcare Alliance (WHA) provides you collaborative solutions and resources for locally-driven healthcare, made up of experts in the areas that matter most to you.
As a member of WHA, you have the independence and freedom to make decisions with confidence to ensure the best care for your community. Hospitals and physician clinics alike receive the education and support needed to be able to manage day-to-day operations while planning for the future.
WHA began in 1989 when a small group of rural Colorado hospitals decided that there was power in numbers. Today, WHA has 30 healthcare members in Colorado and Utah. Of these 30 members, 22 own Healthcare Management (HCM), a sister company of WHA, that provides revenue cycle solutions to healthcare entities. Developing and managing a menu of over 30 member-owned and partner programs, WHA saves members money that helps them remain sustainable and viable in their communities.
And that’s not all! As members embark on the journey towards alternative payment models and population health, WHA responded by forming the Community Care Alliance (CCA) in 2015, a wholly owned company of WHA. The CCA is dedicated to creating solutions that ensure quality outcomes as we shift towards a reimbursement model focused on value. Members learn and work together to coordinate care and ensure success as our medical communities are rewarded for maintaining healthy populations through better care at lower costs.
