Rachel Dando, RN is a Regional Care Coordinator for the Community Care Alliance (CCA). In this role, Rachel is responsible for the growth and maintenance of the Care Coordination Programs at selected facilities. Rachel was born and raised in Englewood, CO. She grew up on her grandparent’s ranch in Glenwood Springs which led her to attending Western State University where she continued her track and field career as well as earned a BA in Exercise Science and Education. After teaching for 12 years, she took the leap and went back to school to get her RN. She attended Trinidad State Junior College in Alamosa, CO and has been a nurse for the last 7 years. Starting her career at San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center working for a couple years on the medical surgical floor before moving to the ICU as well as at Evergreen Nursing home. She looks forward to teaching people to be healthy so they can meet all their goals in life. On her days off she loves being with her family, enjoying her nieces and nephews – being an aunt is the best thing in the world. You will find her enjoying any kind of sporting event or coaching and especially supporting her Colorado teams. She loves to travel and to see new places, eat at different restaurants, and enjoys learning new cultures.
