Grand River Health is a Special Tax District, formed by the citizens of Western Garfield County in 1961 to serve the area's healthcare needs. Founded as Claggett Memorial Hospital, the new Grand River Medical Center prides itself on being a high quality healthcare facility, staffed by top-notch professionals. The district has grown over the years and now includes: E. Dene Moore Care Center, Battlement Mesa Medical Center, and Grand River Medical Center.
In summer 2009, they opened a new medical office building expansion in Rifle, which added approximately 70,000 square feet of space to the Grand River Medical Center campus. The expansion houses a new clinic space for Family Health, Women's Health, and Internal Medicine. Their Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy department also moved into the new space and has added new services, including Aquatherapy in their new physical therapy pool.
Our mission is to improve the health and well being of our communities.
